New Stuff

Community Forum

  • There's now a global forum at /forum with boards for General, Strategy, Questions, and Off-Topic.
  • Every game also has its own forum where you can discuss runs, ask questions, and talk strategy.
  • Threads are searchable, and the search bar in the header works here too.

Community Review: Build Games Together

  • New games can now go through a "Community Review" phase instead of launching fully-formed.
  • During this phase, the community fills in the details together, including categories, rules, challenges, characters, and more.
  • Anyone can submit ideas, vote on proposals, and sign up to help.
  • Once enough people agree on a section, staff finalize it and the game goes live.

Quick vs. Full Game Submission

  • Submitting a new game now has two options: Quick (Short. Select Global defintions) or Detailed (submit everything yourself).

Rules Committee

  • Each game can have a community-run rules committee.
  • Runners with at least one publiched run for that game can join and have a say in rule changes.
  • Proposed changes go to a vote before anything goes live.

Leaderboards

  • Every game now has a Leaderboard tab showing who's ranked for each category and challenge
  • Tied times share the same rank.

Contributions

  • Staff can now credit people who help with a game behind the scenes, like testers, helpers, and community contributors, even if they haven't submitted a run.

Command Palette (Ctrl+K / Cmd+K)

  • Press Ctrl+K (or Cmd+K on Mac) to open a search bar that lets you jump to any game, runner, or page instantly.

Header Search

  • The search bar in the header now shows live suggestions as you type, no need to hit Enter first.

Report Button

  • The report button is now available from anywhere on the site, not just specific pages.

Messaging System

  • In the Profile Panel, there is now a Messaging component that slides out and lets you talk to other users.

Changes

Admin Tools

  • All admin tools are now in one unified dashboard with three tabs: Review Queue, Tools, and System, making everything easier to find.

Game Pages

  • Each section of a game's editor (rules, categories, challenges, etc.) is now its own focused view, with less clutter and easier navigation.

Navigation

  • The "More" dropdown in the header now highlights when you're on a page inside it (News, Forum, Rules, etc.).
  • Keyboard navigation and focus handling in menus is significantly improved.

Discussion Moved to Forum

  • The old Discussion tab on game pages is gone. That conversation now lives inside the game's own forum.

Consistency

  • Emoji icons across the site have been replaced with clean, consistent icons
  • Header has been centered to fit the rest of the site.
  • Search TypeAhead and Multi TypeAhead should work the same way.

Notifications

  • Notifications can now be cleared to remove all read notifications.
  • Runners will now get a notification if their been approved, or if a change has been made for it.

History

  • Now shows updates that have been made to the respective game instead of just published runs.
  • Shows red / green for removed / added items in a similar style to Github.
  • Includes an link leading to the news post if there is one for the game

Sugest an Update, in Games tab
