Batman: Arkham City is a 2011 action-adventure game developed by Rocksteady Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. Run Submission Requirements
- Full, unedited video proof is required.
- Video and Audio must be clearly visible and audible.
For Full Runs:
- The run must start from a new save
- Usually some kind of ending is achieved
For Mini-Challenges:
- These are for Boss Challenges, Individual Levels, or something similar.
For Challenges:
- Refer to default global rules. Keep in mind these are generally how the challenges are done. If you or your community feels something is unavoidable, it can be listed as an exception.
These defaults apply while game-specific rules are under community review.
These rules have been proposed by the community and are under review. They will become official when this game moves to Active status.
- All runs must be damageless.
- If you are playing on the Return to Arkham: Arkham City version of the game, damage received as Catwoman will not count against your Any% but it will count against your Any% (with Catwoman).
- Enemies landing on your character's head and causing a stagger counts as hit.
- Failing any of the QTEs that do not result in damage counts as hit.
- Falling into the void in the Demon Trials counts as hit and damage.
- If an enemy punches Batman when Dr Strange gives his speech in the Processing Centre, this counts as hit but not damage.
- Damage to ballistic armour counts as hit and damage. This is despite the game rewarding you with the "Bullet Proof" medal in Predator Maps when you have received ballistic armour damage but no core HP damage.
- Random staggers with no obvious cause do not count as hit. This will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Mission fails count as hit and damage. However, there is a bugged mission fail that may happen after the end credits. This obviously does not count.
- You may restart checkpoint to save time watching Vicki Vale's helicopter get shot by a rocket after leaving the backdoor of the GCPD.
- If a softlock occurs (e.g. you can't speak to Vicki Vale), you may restart checkpoint so long as no enemies are aggroed to your character.
